EXIP Makes the Internet Safer via Blockchain

The Internet made communication easier. Also, you can now find virtually anything you are looking for on the Internet.

So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that millions of websites are created every year, as more offline businesses are porting to the Internet so they can attract more customers.

From online stores to websites offering different services – the Internet has made business easier for most people.

The Internet is not yet where it should be. A few touches here and there can hand us a more advanced online business ecosystem. That is the basis of the EXIP project. This project wants to create a level-playing ground for most website owners.

This is coming at a time that cyber attacks are on the increase. We have had cases of Internet Protocol (IP) exploitation because most of the Domain Name Service (DNS) providers often reveal these IP addresses.

Besides, the Internet is not entirely autonomous because the database is centrally managed by ICANN.

Welcome to a decentralized web, EXIP is a project backed by an enthusiast team that wants to make the Internet safer for everyone.

This has been a long time coming as it is already overdue to create a robust solution to tackle most of the menaces perpetuated by cybercriminals.

Solving this issue may not need to be based on using the current system because it is fraught. Instead, you want to utilize a platform that offers a different approach to the issues. That platform is EXIP.

Here is a review of this project, as well as some of the ways it can make the Internet safer:

Blockchain Influence

As mentioned earlier, the current challenges in cyberspace can be tackled when there is a robust solution.

That robust solution, as proposed by the EXIP team, is to introduce blockchain technology into the mix.

So, here are some of the ways that the inclusion of blockchain can bolster the security of the Internet:

1. NFT Identification

The first thing EXIP does is to create a proof of ownership for the domains registered via its DNS system. This is done by tagging each of those domains to a Non-Fungible Token (NFT).

The need for NFT tokenization of domains was triggered following the problems in the current/traditional domain registration system where domain owners do not fully have control of their domains.

Therefore, you want to register your domains in the EXIP ecosystem, as those domains would be tagged to an NFT. The NFT, would, in turn, be used as a means of identification for the domain owners.

Now, you are free to buy, reserve, auction, or even transfer your domains. This ensures that the ownership of the domain is documented.

2. Cheaper Domains

No matter the type of domain you want to buy, you can be confident that it wouldn’t cost you an arm and a leg. Instead, you want to leverage the cost-effectiveness of the EXIP domains to buy and register more domains at a cheaper price.

Availability of Different Kinds of Domains

There are different kinds of domains that can be registered and or bought on EXIP. These domains include but are not limited to:

· Top-Level Domains (TLDs) like .com and .org

· Sponsored Top-Level Domains (sTLDs), such as .mil (for military) and .gov (for Government).

· Country-Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs) that represent the domains limited to different countries and geographical locations. Some of these domains are .us for the United States, .cn for China, and .ng for Nigeria.

EXIP also allows the users to register several sub-domains under their root domains. These sub-domains can be used to identify the different sections or segments of the business operated by the domain owners.

3. Domain on Blockchain

Last but not least of what this project does is to host the domains and websites on blockchain technology. That way, the era of decentralized web/Internet would be brought closer.
