Tectone23 has announced plans to manufacture smartphones that would be powered by the blockchain technology. The company has also hinted on the introduction of the Tectone23 OS, a new brand of Operating System (OS) for smartphones running on its platform.
In this article, I talk about some of the proposed features of the Tectone23 OS, and why they are worth considering.
What is Tectone23 OS?
This is a completely bespoke Operating System (OS) designed to run on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) platform. By being open-source, the Tectone23 OS opens doors of opportunities for developers who may want to come up with newer concepts to solidify the OS.
Features of the Tectone23 OS: Why Should You Care?
The Tectone23 OS packs a load of features that cannot be ignored. Here are some of the features expected to be seen on most of the smartphones developed by the company:
- Disaster Recovery Protection
If, by any chance, your Tectone23 smartphone is at the risk of losing your phones or theft, it may be possible to control the whole process. This is possible because of the Disaster Recovery Protection of the Tectone23 OS.
Some of the attributes of the feature are:
• The ability to reflash or restore any content of the smartphone through a USB from a computer, a Storage Device (SD) card or a USB stick.
• The simplified process of initiating file recovery. This can be done by holding specific buttons on your smartphone to start the recovery process, after the smartphone must have been put on recovery mode.
2. Effective Battery Management
The speedy draining of smartphone batteries is also one of the most relevant features of the Tectone23 OS. In this case, it may be possible to have an effective control over the entire battery system.
This includes cutting down on the CPU power, turning off the applications running on the background and making an automatic switch of Internet connectivity from 5G to 4G. Of course, this has to be done when the smartphone is not in (active) use.
3. Integrated Phone Support
The lengthy time it takes to contact a dedicated customer support for your smartphone company is not always in the best interest of the users. It would have been best if the issues are resolved on time.
This is what the Tectone23 team considered and came up with the brilliant idea of integrating customer support. This way, you can easily reach out to the phone support team to report any issue you may be having with your Tectone23 smartphone.
4. Smartphone-to-Desktop Conversion
I am not sure if there is a smartphone brand that does this. It may be possible to convert or use your Tectone23 smartphone as a desktop or in the desktop format.
This is thanks to the desktop conversion format made possible via the use of a USB-C doc.
5. Integrated Task Manager
Just like the traditional desktop or Personal Computer (PC) with a Task Manager, the Tectone23 smartphone also comes with a dedicated Integrated Task Manager.
You can use this to monitor the performance and/or usage of the local storage, the Internet traffic and the Central Processing Unit (CPU) of the smartphone. You may also be able to use the same Integrated Task Manager to close or halt the operations or usages of those app resources.
Tectone23 OS could be a revolutionary Operating System (OS) that sets the pace for the next-generation smartphones. The team is ambitious and committed to making these dreams come through.
